The Competitive Edge for Probation & Parole

Probation and parole officers constantly deal with the criminal element while navigating the stress of heavy case loads, contact quotas and the need for rapid assessment in a variety of settings, which can be extremely distracting. This course helps P & P officers stay more focused on subject behavior and helps them develop the ability to “read” people, spot offenders’ pre-attack buildups and verbally control tense interactions. In addition to enhancing those skills, we’ll also explore techniques that can identify deception and draw out truthful information.

Each section contains one video around 20 minutes and has a one-question quiz at the end. You must complete each section to receive a certificate.
