DeEscalation, Intervention & Force Mitigation

Based on the science and research of psychology and human behavior, this course helps officers mitigate the need for force by leveraging skilled communication strategies and an ability to identify subjects’ needs, sensitivities and motives in a way that helps calm and control them while reducing confrontational friction and avoiding unnecessary force escalation.

Each section contains one video around 20 minutes and has a one-question quiz at the end. You must complete each section to receive a certificate.
